The Friends of the Palmdale City Library is sponsoring a Drawing Contest and Writing Contest for all ages. Stop by the library to pick up your contest entry forms or download them here. Read on for contest details.

Kids Drawing Contest

Kids Drawing Contest Open to kids 10 years old and younger. Child fills in the blank for “Halloween and the Friendly _________!”  Then draws a picture that tells a story.

Use the back of the contest sheet or another piece of paper.

No cost for entry.

Kids Writing Contest

Kids Writing Contest

Open to kids aged 11 to 17. Fill in the blank for “Halloween and the Friendly _________!” Then write a short and friendly Halloween tale deserving of the title. Use the back of the contest sheet or another piece of paper.

Please limit your writing to 250 words or less.

No cost for entry.

Prizes categories include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each contest. Prizes include arts & craft items, writing items, gift certificates and more. The baskets will be on display in the library before the contest ends.
 
All entries must be turned in at the Palmdale City Library by October 23rd at 8pm. Judging will take place between October 24th and 26th. Winners will be announced on October 27th during the book sale. Winners need not be present. All winners will be notified by phone or e-mail.
