Kids Drawing Contest

Open to kids 10 years of age and younger. Child draws a picture related to our 2019 theme “Night at the Library!” Use the back of the contest sheet or another piece of paper.No cost for entry.

Kids Writing Contest

Night at the Library writing contest for ages 11 to 17

Open to kids aged 11 to 17. Write a short and friendly tale related to our 2019 theme, 'Night at the Library!' Use the back of the contest sheet or another piece of paper. Please limit your writing to 250 words or less. No cost for entry.

Adult Writing Contest

Adults 18 and up. Write a short and friendly tale related to our 2019 theme, 'Night at the Library!' Use the back of the contest sheet or another piece of paper. Please limit your writing to 250 words or less. No cost for entry.
Prizes categories include 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each age group. Prizes include arts & craft items, writing items, gift certificates and more. The baskets will be on display in the library before the contest ends. All entries must be turned in at the Palmdale City Library by October 22nd at 8pm. Judging will take place between October 23rd and 25th. Winners will be announced on October 26th during the book sale. Winners need not be present. All winners will be notified by phone or e-mail.
